To The Dawn

The honest thief, a happy chance with so sweet a smile.
My heart stolen away down love's winding ways
Through parched earth and stormy sands,
Across time, stretched apart with reddened eyes,
Blazed with determined desire, a constant ache.

The creatures here, stagnant, grey.
None carve out shapes and shadows, lighting darkness
When graceful curves caress upon eyes and all beauty
A boundless force so fixed yet shaken loose with,
A tumbling flick of her dark black hair.

The shining glint of my promise a circle not ending.
With weighted stance I stand steadfast,
To each other a spring awaits, a blossom field
To sow and renew with all strength and light
From sinew to strain now and always,
We illuminate our way through the darkness and into that dawn.
